NHS Jobs is the official online recruitment service for the NHS in England and Wales and the biggest marketplace for health jobs in the UK.

We cater for over 350 role types from clinical roles, to IT and support, to surgeons and directors.

Our vision is to help you get the right people into the right NHS roles each and every time and provide a great experience for candidates and employers.

The contract for the current NHS Jobs service is coming to an end and this is a great opportunity to develop something new.

So with your help we are reviewing, redesigning and developing a completely new system.

We’re working closely with users, including recruiters and candidates, to ensure we’re building a service that’s fit for purpose, future proof, and fits the needs of our health service.

We’re building an intelligent and intuitive system developed with user needs at its heart, based on what you’ve told us is important to you, including:

  • Better shortlisting functionality
  • Effective reporting at all levels
  • Online checking of identification and right to work
  • Managing pre-employment checks
  • Improved interface with ESR
  • Supporting the NHS digital-first agenda
  • and much more

We’ll support all new and existing users to help you make the transition to the new NHS Jobs platform as seamlessly as possible and to make sure you’re getting the most from the service.

Your brand new NHS Jobs will be released in stages to groups of users between now and summer 2020.

Starting with brilliant basics, we’ll build and iterate based on user feedback adding functionality as the stages progress.

Employers and recruiters are playing a vital role in helping to shape the new service.
